Tick, Tick… BOOM!

My last hurrah at uni, one of my favourite musicals: Tick, Tick… BOOM!… Wow, goosebumps.

I have incredible admiration for Jonathan Larson, and creating this work has only furthered my respect for him. Portraying him was deeply moving: Larson has always believed in standing for something bigger than himself, time and time again.

It is both humbling and rewarding to portray his likeness, and Tick Tick… BOOM!’s focus on universal ideas, has really reinvented my ideas and perceptions of the impact of theatre.

All the lessons I had learned from my last two major shows came to the fore as I thoroughly enjoyed each and every moment. Saying goodbye to University was difficult, but this was the best way I could’ve gone out. I would love to revisit this musical in the future.

As for a side note, I did the deisgn for this shows promo materials, and I was happy to see a step up in quality from my last go in Little Shop of Horrors!
