Of all the amateur societies and theatres in Hertfordshire, one stands above all others. Producing theatre of a beyond-professional standard for several decades running is the Barn Theatre. This was my incredible debut with this company, as I proudly represent my home in a remarkable centenary production.
We followed actors who performed this Shakespeare classic in The Dell 100 years ago in our own way. I re-discovered my love for theatre with this production, thanks to the incredible direction of Steve and Lou, coupled with an incredible cast.
With this show done, as I rediscovered myself following 18 years in schooling, I step into the great unknown of performing. It’s terrifying, yes. But, it’s also comforting that I am going into it with maximum motivation. It’s been so real, thank you to the Barn and everyone involved!
